I received a call from my friend Michael Green, asking if I knew anyone who would be able to score a short film based on the story of "Oedipus." It would be in a grand style and require a big orchestral score. He said he knew I probably wasn't available or interested. Then he told me it was entirely performed by vegetables. Thirty minutes later I was begging the director to send me a cut. He did, and three days later the score was finished. It was so much fun to do, I just didn't stop.
This award-winning short is stop-motion animation, "performed" by vegetables. Read how it was conceived, developed, filmed, and posted at the website. It's quite mind-blowing. Jason is a genius, and I hope to follow him throughout his career. He may even use real actors someday… but then, who needs them?
